I didnt realize the path went that far. I am all for keeping the path open and would love to ride it sometime.

Have you ever crossed the Mississippi River via bicycle in Memphis?

Many of you may know that the MRT comes into Memphis from the north through Shelby Forest. But fewer people realize that the infamous trail then crosses the Mississippi River (via the path along the I-55 bridge) and goes through West Memphis then south to Helena, AR where it crosses back over the River and continues south.

There has been some recent discussion about closing the path across the River in Memphis. I am unsure of the current status of this matter, but I would like to see the MHBC adopt the path and make effort to keep it usable by both cyclists and pedestrians.

Any thoughts??
