Major Taylor Memphis and Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club regrets to announce the cancelation of our 2021 MLK Tribute and Day of Service ride. We look forward to life returning to normal and the Annual MLK Tribute Ride returning in 2022.
Major Taylor Memphis and Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club has worked to make the MLK event a quality rider experience while maintaining health and safety at the forefront.
Given the current CDC and local health guidelines concerning COVID-19 cases and the unknowns going into 2021, we do not believe we can live up to the standards we have established for our cycling community. This is not an easy decision and we apologize for any inconvenience the cancellation causes anyone and for the disappointment, the riders will feel because of the decision, but we feel it is prudent given our circumstance.
Cyclist can still meet up and ride the established routes on their own while maintaining social distances and observing CDC guidelines.
Martin Luther King Jr Tribute Ride
In partnership with Major Taylor Memphis and the Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club
Come join the Memphis Taylor Memphis and Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club for a tribute ride on Monday, January 18, at 10:00.
Routes are currently being planned and will include stops at the following: The I Am A Man Plaza, the National Civil Rights Museum, and Mason Temple. Additional stops may be planned.
There will be multiple pace groups:
A B/C group for approximately 20 miles
A D/E group for approximately 12 miles
There will be refreshments at the Clubhouse after the ride.
