About this event
Ready to roll? This is the registration page for our private, one-on-one Learn to Ride lessons. To give you our full attention, each session is dedicated to one student at a time—whether you’re a child or an adult.
Youth Learn to Ride - Our goal is to get your child rolling within the hour! While we can't guarantee they’ll be riding solo in a single session—as every child learns at their own pace based on age and interest—we are dedicated to getting them started. Regardless of the outcome, we’ll provide personalized tips so you can practice together for 20–30 minutes a day. If they need a little more time in the saddle, you’re always welcome to sign up for another session!
Adult Learn to Ride - Taking our Learn to Ride class? Our goal is to get you rolling within the hour! While we can't guarantee a solo ride in one session, we'll provide personalized tips for those with their own bikes. To master your balance, we recommend practicing for 20–30 minutes daily. If you need more hands-on help, feel free to sign up for any of our future sessions!
?? Bike Class Preparation Checklist
What to Wear:
- Footwear: Wear closed-toed shoes (like sneakers). No sandals or flip-flops!
- Bottoms: Choose shorts or fitted athletic pants.
- Tops: A short-sleeved shirt is best. Bring layers if it's cool so you can adjust as you warm up.
- Gloves (Optional): Cycling or athletic gloves can help if your hands get sore from gripping the bars.
Before You Arrive:
- The Right Bike: Bring the bicycle you (or your child) plan to ride.
- Training Wheels: Must be removed in advance for children’s bikes.
- Mechanical Check: Ensure tires are pumped and brakes are working.
- Helmet: Bring your own bicycle helmet for the best fit.
What We’ll Do Together:
- Safety Double-Check: We’ll inspect your bike to ensure it’s safe to ride.
- Seat Adjustment: We’ll help set your seat to the perfect height for learning.
- Expert Advice: If your bike needs professional work, we’ll provide a list of what to address at a local bike shop.
