Ride Reports

Red, White & Blue ride
Author Last Post
Chris:

Ae you familiar with the rodes in the Lakeland area. I would like to join a Saturday ride that leaves from the Cordova/Lakeland area rather than riding down to the super lo to ride. I live off of highway 64 above
Wolf Chase.

I too enjoyed my first RWB, especially the watermelon. I did not have any traffic challenges, did not find myself frightened or intimidated by any cars. Just all the much faster riders! :) I have no idea what roads I was on when, but the sheriff deputies were around for several miles. I do hope that the t-shirts will come in for those of us who were preregistered but didn't get shirts. Keep up the good work.
I thought you folks did a great job as well. The route was well marked and the SAGS were well stocked, especially considering the number of people that showed up that were not pre-registered. I know you folks are struggling with how to get people to pre register earlier so that you don't have to do everything at the last minute. I'm sure you would welcome any suggestions! Maybe t-shirts only to those pre-registered by a certain date.

All in all a GREAT ride and incredibly well attended!!
Yes, it was a great ride. This event is getting to be a big event for the club. Would like to have some input from the members about the route. Was wondering if anyone had any problems with the traffic? Were motorist patient with us or did you find some of them irritated at us? The road that concerns me is Brunswick. With this event growing year after year, we might have to change the route up some. It was great to see the support of the Shelby County Sheriff's Patrol this year. For those in the middle or bringing up the rear, were they still blocking traffic at Airline road and at HWY 70? Just wondering.
I second the motion! Great ride and a lot of fun. Happy 4th to all
Great job today on the Red, White & Blue ride .... Great turnout, beautiful course and plenty of watermelon at the end. Thanks to Barry and the rest of the volunteers who came out to assist on their day off. It made our day off very enjoyable.
