Clayton,,,, you should never assume anything!
Hazing is just a natural introduction to any elite group, including the
Year-Rounders. Consider us the Seal Team Six of the cycling world and you
will get the idea. If you complete the introduction satisfactorily :), you
will only then need to join the UMCA Year-Rounder Challenge... I think it is
$10, so it's pretty modest, and then report your qualifying rides --
anything over 90 miles is considered a "century" by their rules. If you
have a Garmin, then you can upload your ride details and submit this to the
UMCA for credit.
It's been a fun challenge this year, I must say. I would have never thought
I'd do a century a month all year long, but I have, and it will be great to
finish the year strong.
We look forward to having you on the team next year!
Oh, and no worries about the hazing.... we may just let you off the hook
entirely. :)
